Aurizon Network’s approved 2016 access undertaking provides for it to apply to the QCA, at any time, to vary reference tariffs in response to specific events.
Review events are those considered to be beyond an entity’s reasonable control, and can include acts of God such as floods, fires and landslides.
Endorsed variation events are occurrences, which alone or in combination, would result in changes to costs reflected in reference tariffs.
These occurrences include: changes in law, changes to relevant taxation, changes to pricing of one or more electricity distribution and/or transmission entities, and changes to QCA levy inputs including recovery of QCA fees.
