Aurizon Network’s 2016 access undertaking came into effect on 11 October 2016 and was scheduled to terminate on 31 December 2018.
We made a final decision to approve Aurizon Network’s October 2018 Extension DAAU on 15 November 2018.
The 2016 access undertaking now terminates on the earlier of 30 June 2019, or the date when a replacement undertaking takes effect.

We sought comments on Aurizon Network’s October 2018 Extension DAAU when the DAAU was published.
We received one submission, from Pacific National.
On 15 October 2018, Aurizon Network submitted a draft amending access undertaking (DAAU) proposing to extend the termination date of its 2016 access undertaking from 31 December 2018 to the earlier of 30 June 2019, or the date on which a replacement undertaking takes effect.
We invited submissions on this DAAU and received one submission, from Pacific National.
