GAWB price monitoring 2015–20

We undertook a price monitoring investigation of Gladstone Area Water Board (GAWB) for the period 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2020, as directed by the Queensland Government.

In undertaking the investigation, we were to consider:

• the planned change in prices of water having regard to, among other things GAWB’s pricing model and demand forecasts
• the forecast revenue based on the total prudent and efficient costs of carrying on the activity
• GAWB’s planned return on capital and roll-forward of the regulatory asset base (RAB).

We were required to provide a draft report by 28 February 2015 and a final report by 31 May 2015.

We published our final report in May 2015.
