The Queensland Competition Authority (QCA) released a draft price determination on 11 December 2013 foreshadowing increases in regulated electricity prices in 2014–15.
The QCA has been consulting with customers, industry groups and businesses across the State.
At the request of the Mt Isa Council, the QCA is conducting a workshop in Mount Isa on the draft determination, which includes transitional arrangements for phasing out over the next six years a number of tariffs used by farmers, irrigators and other businesses.
The Mount Isa workshop will also cover our review of options for setting regulated electricity prices in regional Queensland if the market is de-regulated in south-east Queensland from 1 July 2015, as foreshadowed by the Queensland Government.
To reserve your spot at the workshop, please RSVP by email to electricity@qca.org.au or by calling (07) 3222 0555.
